FASP holds “Flower Competition” - Pakistan Observer

Islamabad?Floral Art Society of Pakistan (FASP) Monday arranged flower competition among the members of the society, that gives feeling of cool breeze in the hot days of summer.

All the members of the society participated enthusiastically and displayed different arrangements of fresh flowers, using their aesthetic sense. Women from different walks of life and spouse of ambassador also attended the show and appreciated the work done by the members of art society. President FASP, Lahore Mrs. Samina Salman and ex-President Nasreen Amjad were the judges.

First prize was awarded to Yasmeen Sohail, 2nd prize to Shandana Bangish and third prize to Annie Noman.

Special prizes were given to Anjum Mudasir and Rahima Amjad for their unique pattern of floral design.

The judges praised the work and said such competitions are healthy activity and depicts the love for nature and flowers. Talking to APP, President FASP (Islamabad Chapter), Samina Fazil said 35 years ago, a group of talented ladies laid the foundations of this society at Karachi and a simple coffee morning was organized to a start this expressive art. She continued that the main objective of the society is to promote goodwill at national and international level and spread message of peace, understanding, sympathy, and tolerance among society through the promotion silent voice of floral art. ?We hold exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops and seminars to encourage the skill.?APP
