On display in the exhibition are more than 50 paintings of Karachi-based artist who had specially flown to Lahore and was present during inauguration of the exhibition interacted with the fellow artists, art lovers and art collectors and responded to their queries.
Paintings exhibition titled ?Journey? is the second solo exhibition of Mashkoor Raza being held at the Revivers Galleria in less than five months time. His first solo art show was held in January last and it was titled ?Journey of Colours?. Then, 38 paintings were put on display and almost all paintings displayed in the exhibition were sold out like hot cakes.
Mashkoor Raza has been paintings for several years and has number of solo and group exhibitions within Pakistan and in various foreign countries to his credit.
On this occasion, besides inauguration of the solo art show, a book written by known art critic Nadeem Zuberi on and about the artist and his creative works ?Mashkoor Raza?s Journey? was also launched.
Owner and curator of the Revivers Galleria Ms Sara Anjum on being contacted said that on display in the exhibition are Mashkoor Raza?s paintings, all done in oil on canvas, which the artist has created mostly in 2012 and during recent years. She said that that the exhibition would continue for a fortnight closing on the evening of May 27.
She thanked the artists, art collectors and the art lovers from different walks of life for turning up in such large number to view and appreciate the bright colours and sharp brush strokes of Mashkoor Raza.
